Meet Chris King, Editor of Freelance Living

Chris King of Creative Keys and author of Freelance Living has lived a freelance lifestyle for more than 18 years. A human development specialist, artist, storyteller, trainer, consultant, web site designer, TV announcer, model, mathematician, marketing manager, newspaper editor, salesperson, waitress, writer, speaker and mother of five are some of the personas that have given her creative expertise and lots of material for her writing, presenting and storytelling.

Chris, who has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Goucher College and all course work toward a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art from Kent State University, shares that her true passions are storytelling, leading fitness classes and working on the computer.

Chris has appeared in TV commercials; won art awards at the Cleveland, Massillon and Columbus Museums of Art; was named District 10 Toastmaster of the Year - 1990-91, by Toastmasters International; and received the 1997-98 Chapter Member of the Year Award from the Ohio Speakers Forum (a Chapter of the National Speakers Association).

She is a member of and Ohio State Liaison for the National Storytelling Network (NSN), Past President and current Membership Chair and Webmaster for the Ohio Order for the Preservation of Storytelling (O.O.P.S!), member of and Special Interest Group(SIG) Coordinator for the Greater Cleveland PC Users Group (GCPCUG), a member of the Northeast Ohio Software Association (NEOSA), and is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor with the American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.).
